My first bath
A well deserved soak
The bathroom is all but finished! All that is left to do is to paint the doors, but as they arrived pre-primed, we can now use the bathroom!! Hubby has finished painting the walls and the towel rails and robe hooks have been installed.
I’m so happy that I was finally able to enjoy a long soak in my new bath!
I poured myself a lovely glass of bubbles, prepared a small bowl of yummy chocolates, and placed these in the specially designed alcove. Then I put bubbles (of a different sort) in the bath water, chased the cat away (who needs that drama?), and slowly sank into the blissfulness.
I can’t describe the joy I felt!
The story I tell my friends when they ask about the bathroom is that I have designed the room to be a space for a little bit of indulgence, and the alcove has been placed just so I can have a glass of wine and a bowl of chocolates within reach as I soak away my cares.
It was just on dusk when I partook of this little bit of luxury and the view out of the window was magnificent.
Looking out of the top window I could see that the sky was a dark grey which lightened into a blue, then pale blue as I looked further down the window. Under the frame of the bottom window, I could that the pale blue melted…
